Poem: Catalyst

My feelings toward you are complicated.

You are my worst nightmare.

Because of you, my heart completely shattered.

I want to hate you, but I can’t.

You are the catalyst.

The catalyst for this new road I’m charging down.

You were the catalyst for devastation, but that path is not for me.

I choose redemption.

Some days, my hands feel tied.

But these will be your hands.

And, my catalyst to forgive you.
