DBFF’s
You are your community. You become like the people you hang around with. If your friends/family complain, and bitch and are Nancy negatives…you’ll probably have these tendencies, too. Given COVID-19 or where we live, good influences IRL might be hard to come by. <insert digital media>.
While digital content and social media can become addictive or overwhelming at times, it can also be insanely positive if you curate it with intention. When you scroll your Insta feed and you’re encouraged - AWESOME… if you scroll your feed and feel jealously, less than or envious - NOT AWESOME (and a good cue to unfollow or take a break).
I’m so thankful for digital resources and digital BFF’s (DBFF’s). My favorite mentors and besties are women that do not even know me! They are crazy successful woman that are real, inspirational, intelligent and go-getters. I’m so thankful that these woman put out content that I can digest on a weekly (if not more) basis. I can barely wait until their new podcast episodes drop. They join me while I run, blasting encouragement into my ear with every step.
It’s largely because of these woman that I’ve been able to remain positive in these crazy times. It’s largely because of these woman that I had the courage to leave my job and pursue something brand new. It’s largely because of these woman that I practice gratitude on the daily, prioritize my self-care as #1 and am not afraid to be all the glorious-ness that is me.
And, I’m just putting this out into the world that I will meet them both some day. I will hug them and probably cry…and just let them know how frickin amazing and influential they are.
Thank you, Rachel Hollis.
